WW2 KIA Purple Heart Document, USS Barton, First Naval Battle of Guadalcanal 1942

Very nice and interesting WW2 KIA Purple Heart document. The document is named to Gunner's Mate Third Class Herbert Bruce Page, crew member of the USS Barton. Page was KIA on the 13th of November 1942 during the First Naval Battle of Guadalcanal. During this battle the USS Barton got torpedoed and sank by the Japanese Destroyer Amatsukaze. Page was among the 164 crew members of the USS Barton that lost their lives that day. The Purple Heart award certificate was awarded on the 10th of August 1944. The award certificate remains in a good condition as can be seen on the photos. No repairs, no damage.

Very nice and interesting Naval KIA Purple Heart document which deserves some further research!
