Very nice WW2 Cased Identified Purple Heart & Bronze Star Medal Set. The set is identified to Staff Sergeant Glendon E. Hawley (service number: 35636993) of Fairdale, West Virginia. Hawley was a Staff Sergeant in the 47th Infantry Regiment of the 9th Infantry Division and saw considerable action in the European Theater of War during WW2. For his actions and wounds during these actions he twice received the Purple Heart and once the Bronze Star. The set contains his unnamed/engraved Purple Heart (with Oak Leaf) and Bronze Star medal which remain in decent condition as can be seen on the pictures. The set comes with some additional paperwork on Hawley making him easier to research and to figure out his exact story. We will also provide the buyer some basic information on the wounds he received in battle.

Very nice and interesting historical Identified Purple Heart & Bronze Star Medal Set to a member of the 9th Infantry Division. Great set with loads of research potential!
