An original WW2 cased Purple Heart medal. The medal comes in its original case of issue without its ribbon bar and lapel pin. The medal comes with a slot brooch mechanism, indicating production during WW2. Both the medal and the case have gotten some wear to it, but it is still a nice set in decent condition!
